Defending Champions Gujarat Titans (GT) on Tuesday are set to go against four-time champions Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in the first Qualifier of the TATA IPL 2023. This is going to be one of the biggest clashes this season as both teams have some of the most explosive players. But, before the big night, GT skipper Hardik Pandya talked about MS Dhoni and said that “you need to be a proper devil to hate Mahendra Singh Dhoni”.
“I’ll always be a Mahendra Singh Dhoni fan and for so many fans out there and so many cricket lovers. You need to be a proper devil to hate Mahendra Singh Dhoni. A lot of people think Mahi is serious and all that. For me, I crack jokes and I don’t see him as a Mahendra Singh Dhoni. Obviously, I’ve learnt a lot of things from him, a lot of positive things, which I’ve learnt from him just while watching, not even much talking,” GT skipper Hardik Panyda said.
“For me, he’s just my dear friend, dear brother, who I do pranks, who I chill,” Hardik Pandya added.
Hardik Pandya, who led the Gujarat Titans to the IPL cup last year will hope to maintain the winning streak. Like last year, this season also has been phenomenal for the team, and out of the 14 league matches the team played, they won 10. With both orange cap and purple cap contenders in their team, Gujarat Titans will enter the ground of MA Chidambaram Stadium with nothing but confidence.
MS Dhoni-led CSK will hope to win and enter their 10th final in the 16 seasons of the tournament. If the teams wins this season, they will be at an equalizer with the Mumbai Indians (MI) with five wins each. In IPL 2023, CSK started shaky but caught up in time, and the explosive batting unit of team is giving chills to the opposing bowlers.
